Broken Trees Can Bear Fruit

Broken Trees Can Bear Fruit

How about that?  Broken trees can bear fruit.  The metaphor is poignant for all of us.

I’ve been broken before.  I’ve stumbled, fallen down, made mistakes, had failures.  And this idea offers me hope.  I can still bear fruit in God’s garden of grace.

2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us this: “God’s power shows up best in our weakness.”

I love the idea that God can use my broken places for some good in this world.  He can take the shards, the sharp edges, the shattered pieces and turn them into something useful, lovely and worthy of His kingdom.

You’re not useless to God.
Your weaknesses, placed in His hands, become monuments of God’s grace.

Yes indeed.  Broken trees can bear fruit.
