Letter Number Thirteen ~ A Letter from God

Letter Number Thirteen

Dear Child:

I know you said the words, but I just can’t leave you alone.  I love you.

Oh, you think you stopped me short back then when you said “Leave me alone.  I don’t trust you.  How could you let this happen in my life?”

I heard you.  I heard your bitterness, your confusion, your distrust.  I heard it all.

But I can’t walk away.  I have too much invested in you to just let your drift along.

I’ve reached out for you in a thousand ways.  I’m still reaching.

When you are ready, just call out.

Just say, “Hi, it’s me.  I’d like to talk again.”

And I’m there, by your side, offering myself in new and wholesome ways.

Do you remember what I once said?  “I will never leave you or forsake you.”

It’s still true.

Even when you don’t want me near, I’m near.

Even when you are angry, I hold your tears.

Even when you run so fast and so far, I am able to keep up with you.  You are never out of my care, or out of my sight.

I promise I will never leave.

Never!

Your Ever-loving God!

Letter Number Twelve ~ A Letter from God

Letter Number Twelve

Dear Child:

Don’t you hate mud?  I do.  I don’t enjoy digging in mud, but I’ve done it more than a few times.  You see, I’ll follow you through whatever you choose to go through.  Sometimes you go through mud.  You just want to get down and wallow in the mud.  I’ll be there with you, mud and all, if that is what you choose.

I’ll go into the mud for you right this minute if that is where you go.

Mud is messy.  It’s gooey, and it gets in all kinds of places.

But I’m going in there with you.

Mud is no fun, for either of us.  But sometimes it’s necessary to remind you of the right places you could be.

So, I’m following you, even though the mud.

Just remember, when you get stuck in the mud of your life, I can pull you out.  I have strong arms.

I’m always watching you.

God

Letter Number Eleven ~ A Letter from God

Letter Eleven

Hello my friend.  Good morning.  So glad you slept well last night.

That’s right.  You are my friend.  Did you know that?

One of the meanings of this word “friend” is “ally”.  I am your ally.  I’ve got your back.

How about that?

That means I care about you.  I esteem you.  I think of you and look for ways to benefit your life.

Also, I’m looking out for you.  I care, and I am watching to see that you are safe.

When you hurt, I hurt.
When you are troubled, I want to wash your troubles away.

I know you so well.  I’ve watched you since before you were born.  I know about that scar and how you got it.  Better yet, I know something about those scars on your heart that you don’t talk about.  I was there when the hard places came along.

I am your friend now and I was your friend then.

Reach out to me.

   Talk to me.

      Confide in me.

Tell me what’s on your mind.

God!
