I Know What It Is Like

I Know What It Is Like …

The idea for this post came from my Pastor, Mark Woodward, on Sunday, March 4, 2018)

I know what it is like …

~When told its surgery or else

~When facing a surgical procedure

~When being shaved in preparation for surgery

I know what it is like …

~When love goes sideways

~When creditors call

~When autos are repossessed

And I also know what it is like …

~When God’s still presence comes sweeping in

~When peace and assurance overcomes doubt and fear

~When fear is replaced with hope

I also know what it is like …

~When a direct prayer is answered by a personal God

~When I don’t get my way and all is still right in this world

~When God solves the problems of the world regardless of who is in office

You see, I know in whom I believe, for I am persuaded that He is able to keep every promise, every covenant.

~I know He is with me in every moment of every day 

~I know He will never leave me nor forsake me

~I know He knows my name and what is best for me every moment of every day.

I know how to struggle with fears, and finally yield to the wisdom of the God of the universe who loves me as I am, not as I should be.

I have great confidence in the God of my understanding.

I am learning to know what HE is like!

Some words that come to mind are:

     Reliable

     Truthful

     Trustable

     Ever-present

     Forgiving

    Loving to a fault

This is the God I know!
